The cat is out of the bag! And that is why you shouldn't give yourself mako poisoning...

Q&A I hinted that Nanaki's tribe and the Gi tribe were once one and the same tribe. The split happened when Seto broke with the tribe to defend the humans in Cosmo Canyon. So yes, they are one and the same "people" in this case.

Nanaki, remember, has never seen another of his kind besides his parents, both of whom died when he was still a child. He just thought Borah looked different until he saw the others. Specifically, the healthy kids.

Also, hi to Butterscotch, my fellow quality Doujinshi maker!

It wasn't obvious to him? If he knows that his kind are always red, then he should have noticed something about Borah? Or just type of albino?

:O Zombie kitties~!

I screamed a little when I saw some of them. While the kittens are adorable, the elder with the fur patching off made me go AUGH!

Can't wait to see how this resolves. I bet Nanaki will invite them back to the canyon, if only for their health.

"My" people? Let me get this straight. Nanaki and the Gi tribe are all firecats (is that the right term?), except that the Gi have been corrupted by Mako poisoning. I just want to be sure here... I had previously thought that the Gi are only superficially like Nanaki, close enough in appearance to fool Yuffie, but actually different animals inside; as a consequence, Nanaki is truly the last of his kind. But it seems I was wrong! Help me out here.

It took me a few days, but I just finished reading the entire archive. I'm not real familair with the game(I started it, took a break, lost the memory card and never started over) so some of the finer points go over my head, but even so I was entertained.

Re: "My" people If my understanding is right, considering I haven't played the game since it came out, they are the same race, just different tribes. GI tried to obliterate the tribe Nanaki came from. While Nanaki is the last of his tribe, he isn't the last of the firecats ((I have no idea the term)).

On a different note, the older cats scare me. The cubs are cute but the old ones are going to give me nightmares. Great job! ^.^

"When a Goa'uld and a sabretooth tiger really, really love each other..." The pale white kitteh in the front looks awesome.

The cubs are *so* cute.

From what I understand, is the GI tribe were part of a larger tribe of firecat, but seperated on whether or not to killed the humans. Also because the GI killed his family and clans Nanaki felt he could no longer relate to the GI tribe therefore making him last of his kind.

Reply Enkida, 16th Jan 2008

Yeah, that's pretty much it. If you want to get all technical you could say that the "Gi" were originally Seto (and therefore Nanaki's) tribe, and Nanaki could be called "Gi Nanaki" just like Borah is "Gi Borah" and Borah's dad was "Gi Nattak."

None of this is game canon of course. :-)

Having actually worked for the military during 9/11 and having watched the Pentagon blow up with my very own eyes, I can tell you as a first hand witness that "Loose Change" is the biggest bunch of "documentary" crap I have ever had the misfortune to hear about.

I hate these kind of spambots the most, the kind that spread lies.

I can hear the battle music now... I expect a fight soon.

the cubs are so cute!!!

Reply Gining (Guest), 17th Jan 2008

Those cubs are simply adorable, but that Gi in the front in the last panel is just freaky in every way possible. It almost looks like his fur or skin is falling off!
