Paper costs Since I ran out of paper a few days ago, I've been cutting new pieces for the comic. This brings up a question someone asked me a long time ago: how can I afford to draw on watercolour paper?

I cut my own paper to help reduce costs, but basically, 1 block of paper costs me ~23 Euros and yields 200 pages. That makes 11 cents / page, which makes it 33 cents / week, and 52 weeks = 1 year. That means it costs me 17.16 euros, or with the current exchange rate, $27.44 USD / year for paper alone. I can afford that. :) It's the inking pens that kill my wallet, actually. So now you know!

Holy hell...Not sure exactly what happened up top there, but those white creatures...XD That is just DAMN! They look so freakish, yet similar at the same time.

Those critters up top are scary as hell.

I like the heavy outlines, even though I know they screw up your inking pens. :^)

Komi Y Tsuku, be sure to check my comment on the previous page for instructions on making and submitting transcriptions.

Guess we can call off the intervention.^.^
The Growth-induced nightmares continue with another wonderful, yet really creepy page.

@andygoth: Got it. Should be done in two to three days.

timothy12: From the FAQ:

"Q: Your art sucks. Why are you doing this?
A: Well, that's the point. I want to get better."

I can't remember where Enkida said it, but I believe she said she's inspired and encouraged by seeing the artwork of others improve over the years as they continue to draw comics.

Also see the Coloring Dragons interview with Enkida. Find the link is at the bottom of the Links page.

The point is that it takes practice. Just keep working at it. Every day you will improve, little by little.

I can see we're going to need to reestablish the ground rules. Alright, I know I'm a slacker but in the interest of nipping this in the bud before it turns ugly, let's go over the "ground rules" of this comic once again:

1) You're allowed to critique the comic
2) You're allowed to critique my artwork
3) Yes, you're even allowed to insult me personally if you feel a burning need to do so

however the last and Golden Rule is simply:

4) You are absolutely, under no circumstances, allowed to insult other readers.

Everybody please remember that. Also, being that I am actually a moderator on SJ now, I can get that enforced if need be. I don't want to have to get all bitchy and nasty on my own comic like I am on the forums, so please, keep conversations with other the other readers of this comic civil even if you disagree with them.

I'll be sending both of you a private message later, so be sure to check your account or let me know if you don't receive it for some reason.
