Vincent's Social Skill Score: -5 - 30 years in a coffin didn't teach him any tact, eh?
On a more serious note, my husband was informed last week that his job is being outsourced (he's getting laid off at the end of the year, in other words). I'm not sure what this will eventually mean for the comic, but for now it just means "If you want to send me money so I can keep making comics instead of getting a real job in order to keep our house, go right on ahead!" XD
Seriously, this won't be affecting the comic situation until the end of the year, depending on what the future brings. I'll warn you guys well in advance if there's another long hiatus coming.

Does Vincent look slightly hurt in the big close-up? Or is it just my imagination? posted by andygoth on 10th Apr 2008 |

Enkida, one of the things you could do to earn some money is do commissions. It's not really a 'job' job, but it would help. posted by Klebkatt (Guest) on 10th Apr 2008

ugh, Sorry about the outsourcing... I really do hope the situation gets righted soon and he;ll have an even better, maybe more fullfilling job? ...Like a rollercoaster tester! That would be fun! posted by Naleh (Guest) on 11th Apr 2008

Looks like I forgot
But I really do love how you had done Vincent's hair close up like that. It looks different from what you're doing. Alot smoother. Actually the coloring in general looks smoother. posted by Kitty Silver on 11th Apr 2008 |

Ouch...sorry to hear about your husband's job, good thing there's a long notice so he's got time to hopefully get settled. posted by TyranT (Guest) on 11th Apr 2008

"Scant few hours"!? It took me four hours to drive from Edmonton to Cold Lake! That's four hours too many; Air Canada Jazz flies into the airbase in Bagotville (Saguenay), so all I have to do is drive to the hotel. But here in Cold Lake the closest I can get is Edmonton! As you know, YEG is actually in Nisku, half an hour south of the real Edmonton. And my connecting flight went through Toronto! Today I spent sixteen hours traveling, and I still had work to do after all that. posted by andygoth on 12th Apr 2008 |

Well, I'd recommend Fort McMurray if there was a better way to get to Cold Lake...but really, Edmonton is about the closest you're going to get Andygoth. I'm personally in Leduc atm...and I haven't been to Cold Lake in yeeeeears. posted by Kadamon (Guest) on 12th Apr 2008

That close-up on Vincent's face reminds me a lot of Edward Scissorhands in a strange way. posted by Charles Xavier (Guest) on 12th Apr 2008

Kadamon, I am told that it's possible to get snowed in at Fort McMurray in the the middle of July. It's five hours *north* of Cold Lake on 63 via 55. But thanks anyway for the suggestion. Some time in the future a coworker will try taking the twelve-passenger turboprop to Lloydminster, which is only two hours from Cold Lake on 897 via 16. posted by andygoth on 12th Apr 2008 |

Fort Mac being snowed in, though, I haven't heard of. Might just be because I'm that far south of them, but July and summer in general are pretty safe from the snow. posted by a person in Alberta (Guest) on 13th Apr 2008

It happened in the 80's a couple freak snowstorms up there usually though, it's above +30. I hated living there and I can't wait to move to Red Deer. posted by Guest on 13th Apr 2008

Ok...as Andygoth said, he's either hurt or that's his "wut?" face. And I know how you feel Yuffie! I ended up doing the same thing! This guy I liked was saying how our teacher was a pain and annoying, and I ended up saying stupid stuff. posted by Strawberrylemonade on 13th Apr 2008 |
